I just heard your music to Annabel Lee...beautiful...it gave me chills. I just happened to be at a dinner party last night where we were discussing you, your "column", Sunnybank, etc. That was where I first learned you wrote poetry and had a lovely voice. Well done!

Dear Dee~How wonderful to be able to share your beautiful garden with two women visiting here to work at The Homestead Resort. They were so happy to see so many plants that reminded them of their homes in Jamaica. As they took photos on their cell phones & sent them to family, their joy was bubbling over! On the way home they were still talking about getting to talk with you about the flowers they have back home that you explained you were able to grow in your micro-climate, helped along by your high wooden fence. Thank you so much for sharing your garden and your self thru your music and knowledge; helping to make our world a more loving & inclusive place. Judy

Dear Dee, I too, like the rest of your many 'friends', was so disappointed to find you not in the Sunday paper anymore! I was afraid to even find out where you had gone, lest it be due to illness - God forbid! I am elated that I googled your name today and found you, safe and sound! I have visited your garden many times and it's magical to me! It's a place of quiet beauty in the midst of the 'chaos' of life! I hope one day to get a chance to meet you - I am a huge fan! Thank you for sharing your garden and bits of your life with us

Several weeks ago I opened the RE Sunday paper and couldn't find your column. It was the only reason I purchased the Sunday edition. I was concerned that you had experienced some sudden medical emergency and couldn't prepare your column. But week after week your column was absent. I missed your down to earth articles about gardening and life experiences. You have a gift for telling about the events of daily life with such simple humor and love of life--be it the alley cat, Mr. and Mrs. Duck, your expeniences in England, garden visitors or even garden experiences.
On 9/4/11, I saw a small notice that your column could be found on your website. Well here I am back to enjoying your words (and music).
I'm glad that you are well and continuing to write.
Sincerely, Marge

Thank you for continuing to share your essays on your web site. Sunday morning with Dee and my coffee was always a special pleasure; I'm glad the pleasure will continue. As a person with "purple thumbs" I read your column for its wise words about life, for the smiles it inspired, and for the excellent grammar you use. You are such an asset in this community. I wish you every blessing.
